Boston, MA, Jan 24, 2005 - Mirus Capital Advisors, Inc. announced today that the firm has advised its client, SHPK Holdings, on the sale of Protective Packaging Ltd. based in Cheshire, England in addition to last week's sale of Shield Pack, Inc., of West Monroe, LA. Mirus worked in cooperation with Consilium Partners on these transactions.
A producer of specialty packaging used in chemical storage and liquid food applications, Shield Pack was acquired by Pegasus Management Group with funding from Tuckerman Capital. Pegasus specializes in buying established, profitable businesses in non-technology intensive industries. The Company's current portfolio consists of several high margin manufacturing companies located throughout North America.
Protective Packaging, Ltd. is a producer of barrier foil laminates with operations in the United Kingdom. Incorporated in 1988, PPL was formed to capitalize on the introduction and growth of barrier foils for industrial use in the U.K. and Europe. After fielding numerous offers for the business, SHPK ultimately opted to sell the Company to an investor group led by management.
